Dear Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church Family,

It has come to our attention that fraudulent emails and text messages are being sent that appear to come from Pastor Marion H. Newton or other church leaders requesting financial assistance or asking members to send money through Cash App, Venmo, Apple Pay, gift cards, or other electronic payment methods.

Please do not respond to these messages or send any money. They are scams and were not sent by Pastor Newton or the Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church.

Please remember:

Pastor Newton and the church will never ask members to purchase gift cards or send money through personal payment apps on behalf of the church via email or text.
Do not click on any links or reply to suspicious messages.
If you receive a message that seems unusual or requests money, please verify it by contacting the church office directly before taking any action.

If you have already responded or sent money, please notify your financial institution or payment provider immediately and contact the church office.

We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and help protect one another by sharing this information with family members and fellow church members.
