Our Mission
The mission of Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church is to exalt the Savior, evangelize the lost, execute missions, and edify the saints, as inspired by Ephesians 4:11-13. As an organized body of baptized believers, equal in rank and privilege, the church is committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, nurturing spiritual growth, and serving the community through its ministries.
Our Vision
The vision of Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church is to build healthy families by teaching them to live out their faith at home. This faith-filled living overflows into the body of Christ, fostering a healthy church that lifts Jesus and draws people into the Kingdom through the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This vision extends to creating an environment that builds a healthy community, advances the Kingdom of God, and supports the construction of facilities designed for biblical training, spiritual empowerment, and economic development.
Church Covenant
The Church Covenant at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church (JMBC) reflects the biblical and historical practice of spiritual covenants formed for mutual edification and accountability. At JMBC, there are four foundational requirements for an individual to become a disciple: a personal profession of Christ as Lord and Savior, baptism by immersion as a public symbol of faith, completion of the New Disciples Class, and a signed commitment to abide by the JMBC Believer's Covenant.
The JMBC Believer's Covenant establishes a commitment to align with the church's statements, strategy, and structure, guided by the Holy Spirit and united with the JMBC family. As part of this covenant, members dedicate themselves to the following principles:
Protecting the Unity of the Church by acting in love toward fellow believers, refraining from gossip and excessive anger, being slow to take offense while ready to reconcile, and following the church’s leaders, as instructed in Ephesians 4:3-4, Ephesians 4:29, Hebrews 13:17, and 1 Peter 1:22.
Sharing the Responsibility of the Church by praying for its growth, lifting up one another in prayer, interceding for the unchurched and inviting them to attend, and being hospitable to visitors, as supported by 2 Peter 3:18, James 5:16, Luke 14:23, and Romans 15:7.
Serving the Ministry of the Church by discovering and using personal gifts and talents, equipping oneself to assist pastors and leaders, and fostering a servant's heart, as emphasized in 1 Peter 4:10, Ephesians 4:11-12, and Philippians 2:3-4.
Supporting the Testimony of the Church by attending faithfully, sustaining its worship, ordinances, disciplines, and doctrine, and providing financial support through tithes and offerings, as outlined in Hebrews 10:25, Malachi 3:10, Leviticus 27:30, and 1 Corinthians 16:2.
Respecting the Covenant by notifying pastors and ministry leaders when stepping away from the fellowship and striving to honor the commitment made through the covenant.
This Church Covenant serves as a spiritual pledge to God and the JMBC community, emphasizing unity, responsibility, service, support, and respect within the fellowship.
